Borehole Seismic Processing
Reservoir Imaging offers a full suite of VSP processing services – from data loading/geometry, to wavefield separation, to deterministic deconvolution, to velocity model building/statics, to 3D migration. All processing steps are rigorously QC’d to determine optimal parameters at each processing stage.
We utilize all three downhole geophone components in the processing of borehole seismic data, and perform data rotations in order to isolate the different wavefields (PP, PSv, PSh) present in most VSP datasets. If the VSP data contains useable upgoing converted shear information we are capable of isolating it and outputting 3D migrated PS images in addition to the standard PP images, which can help to further understand the subsurface zone of interest.
